Netflix’s Iron Fist Has Been Canceled

Deadline has reported that the Netflix show Iron Fist, starring Finn Jones and Jessica Henwick, has been canceled. Marvel and Netflix have released a joint statement, giving kudos to the cast as well as hinting at future appearances of the Immortal Iron Fist.

“Everyone at Marvel Television and Netflix is proud of the series and grateful for all of the hard work from our incredible cast, crew and showrunners. We’re thankful to the fans who have watched these two seasons, and for the partnership we’ve shared on this series. While the series on Netflix has ended, the immortal Iron Fist will live on.”

Danny Rand appeared in the second season of the acclaimed series Luke Cage, and he could find his way back in a more permanent setting. As for Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing, there is always a possibility of a new spin-off for the Daughters of the Dragon, a crime fighting duo made up of Colleen Wing, and Misty Knight, played by Simone Missick.
