It’s been reported by The Hollywood Reporter that Jack Bannon has been cast as Alfred Pennyworth in Epix’s Batman prequel, Pennyworth.
Bannon is known for his roles in Imitation Game, Ripper Street, and The Loch. Pennyworth will be written and produced for Epix by Bruno Heller, who has written and produced Gotham and The Mentalist.
The show will run for ten episodes and follow the events of Alfred as a young man in his 20’s working for Thomas Wayne in the 1960’s.
