The Mandalorian, the upcoming TV series set in the Star Wars universe has been the source of a lot buzz, but one thing we now know for a fact is the series’ first cast member. Variety has confirmed that Pedro Pascal is set to star in The Mandalorian, after many rumors regarding his involvement in the series.

Pedro Pascal seems like a great choice due to his stellar career on television, that includes shows like Game of Thrones and Narcos. He even left his mark on some recent blockbusters like Kingsman: The Golden Circle and The Equalizer 2 and the upcoming Wonder Woman 1984.

The Mandalorian is written by acclaimed director Jon Favreau, with episodes set to be directed by Dave Filoni, (known for other Star Wars TV shows like Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels), Taika Waititi, Bryce Dallas Howard, Dope’s Rick Famuyiwa, and Deborah Chow.

The series follows a lone gunfighter and his efforts to evade the New Republic that rose from the fall of the Empire. It is set to premiere on Disney’s very own streaming service, Disney+.
