In a few short months, Godzilla: King of the Monsters will release on May 31. The film is sure to include a clash like none other, featuring titans Godzilla, Rodan, Mothra, and King Ghidorah all on the big screen together for the first time. It’s the third film in Legendary’s “MonsterVerse,” following 2014’s Godzilla and 2017’s Kong: Skull Island. All of these films have been leading to 2020’s epic battle that it looks like we’ll be getting a few months earlier: Godzilla vs. Kong.
Godzilla vs. Kong was originally set to release on May 22, 2020. However, in an effort to avoid a clash with Fast & Furious 9, Legendary has moved the release date to March 13, 2020. The Hollywood Reporter‘s Aaron Couch confirmed the change on Twitter:
WB has also moved up Godzilla vs. Kong to March 13, 2020 avoid a clash with Fast 9 https://t.co/wMeFjyQrCS https://t.co/XXTsrH8Hxx
