Only a mere 7 days ago, writer-director Kevin Smith began production on the long-awaited Jay and Silent Bob Reboot. Now, after appearing on a radio show on 102.7 The Bone, Smith revealed that the film’s release will be much closer than expected.
“Oh listen, no, I think we’re out this fall. Yeah it’s a quick turnaround.”
Smith also revealed that primary filming would last only 21 days, a far shorter period than most films, but the exact same length as the characters’debut film, Clerks. Jay and Silent Bob Reboot will focus on the titular characters as they return to Hollywood to put a stop to a reboot of the comic characters based on them, Bluntman and Chronic. It will also feature numerous ssurprises and multiple different cameos.
