Just a normal neanderthal looking forward to giving his not-at-all-informed opinion.
Hello, my dearest readers. I come bearing good and exciting news.
According to That Hashtag Show, Hermione Granger herself, Emma Watson might be up for a leading role on the Black Widow solo film opposite Scarlett Johansson.
The casting call is for a “kick ass female Bond” (hence the title), according to the same site, someone who can really be capable of nailing an action movie. And, apparently, our favorite witch is the first option for this role.
Although we haven’t seen her in an action movie, we do know she’s a talented actress that knows how to pick a role, so, get excited.
Nevertheless, don’t get too excited yet. There are other actresses in the fight for this desired role. There’s Dar Zuzovsky from Netflix’s Hostages and Florence Pugh, who has worked before with Watson on Greta Gerwig’s new movie, Little Woman. Pugh is also feutured in the new movie from Hereditary’s director Ari Aster’s, Midsommar, so you can assume she has some talent.
And closing down this list is Alice Englert, from Beautiful Creatures fame (a pretty okay YA movie if you ask me). So, let’s hope that whoever one of this talented list does an awesome job for this highly-anticipated movie.
