It’s OVER! Finally, the deal with between Fox and Disney has closed! As of March 19th, 2019 Disney now owns the properties of 21st Century Fox. The revenue generated and such from current Fox properties will still go to Fox as a company, but from here on out, the X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Avatar series are just a few of the things that come in the package with Fox.

The big one to focus on that has all of us so excited is the X-Men and Fantastic Four. This allows the MCU to have a massive new box of toys and characters to play with. Not to mention, many Marvel fans and superhero fans have been clamoring for the “First Family” to be done right in the MCU and now we are one step closer. Any character that is under the title of “Mutant” comes back into Disney possession so yes, Deadpool is now part of the Marvel pantheon of characters.

What will be interesting to see going forward is how they approach the X-Men and the other properties. Fantastic Four should be a slam dunk and the easiest to recast as everyone is trying to forget the past film. Meanwhile, we can not recast Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool as he is near perfect for the character; a match made in heaven if you will. Then the diciest of the situations is the X-Men. The current cast is by no means bad, but it will be interesting to see if they keep anyone in their roles and give an explanation as to how these people were “never seen” in the MCU.

That is what makes this so exciting, we have so many more character to introduce into the MCU with so many interesting ways! Today should be a day of celebration for Marvel fans, comic book fans and superhero fans alike! What do you think? Are you excited for Fox to be one with Disney finally? How would you go about introducing the new characters into the MCU? Let us know and for all things, Cinema related, you’re in the right place!
