Disney is pulling out all the stops for there streaming service. Titled Disney +” , the streaming is looking to battle the other giants like Netflix and Hulu, and it is shaping up to be a formidable opponent! They already have a multiple of the project in the works from the multiple licenses they own such as the MCU and Star Wars. They also have a stellar lineup of Disney original projects they are looking to add to the service. One of the heavy hitters got announced today. It looks as if Disney is tapping back into the world of Monsters, Inc. and producing a show based upon the adventures of Sully and Mike called “Monsters at Work”.  This show takes place six months after the original movie and follows a new character named Taylor Tuskmon who is a mechanic who is aiming for a chance to work with Sully and Mike.

To top off the situation, the Cast is awesome, with John Goodman and Billy Crystal reprising their roles as Sully and Mike. Along with them, comes a great cast including Kelly Marie Tran from Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Alanna Ubach from Coco. It will be interesting to see what the rollout plan for the show is, as there is not a tentative schedule as to when it will be released. The streaming service is set to release sometime in the 4th quarter of 2019. If I had to guess, this along with maybe another series and Jon Favreau much anticipated The Mandalorian show could be a great launch slate for the service! Let us know what you think? You excited to see the monsters back in action? For all things cinema, you are in the right place!
