After their stellar last year, you would have to live under a rock if you don’t know who this pair of creators are. Lord and Miller are the writers, producers and directors of many hits such as the LEGO Movie and its sequel, both of the Jump Street movies, the tragically unseen The Last Man on Earth and Clone High, and the famous Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse.

Well, this duo has been developing TV shows for 20th Century Fox for a while now, but with that deal expiring, according to Variety, Sony Pictures Television has picked to play for their team.

They will develop both live-action and animated series both comedy and drama (including the Marvel characters that Sony owns), so pretty much whatever they like, and Sony will allow them to work on their own projects too. It’s a five-year and nine figures deal.

For years now, the duo have shown the entertainment business that they can seriously make a franchise. Between both Jump Street movies, both Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, the LEGO franchise they started, and now, Into the Spider-Verse, one can observe it’s pretty much a guaranteed hit. If you don’t have an idea, these are the creators that Disney fired from Solo: A Star Wars Story, and we all know how that turned out.

What do you think Lord and Miller will develop for Sony? Let us know!
