Avengers: Endgame had already had huge success during its opening weekend, where it grossed over 1.2 billion dollars at the worldwide box office, thanks to its exciting action, character-driven storytelling and the way it wrapped up 21 films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. But it seems that having the biggest opening weekend of all time is just the beginning.

Even though it’s second weekend is not yet over, Avengers: Endgame has already crossed 2 billion dollars at the worldwide box office. Furthermore, it out-grossed Avengers: Infinity War, making it the highest grossing superhero movie, Star Wars: The Force Awakens, making both the highest grossing sequel and Disney movie, and finally it out-grossed the James Cameron-directed Titanic, which made over 2.1 billion dollars. Passing Titanic makes Endgame the 2nd highest-grossing movie of all time, behind Avatar, which was also directed James Cameron and grossed over 2.7 billion dollars.

Given that the movie was able to accomplish this within its second weekend, it’s very likely that Avengers: Endgame will become the highest grossing movie of all time.

Avengers: Endgame is now in theaters. It’s directed by Joe and Anthony Russo and stars Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Chris Hermsworth, Mark Rufallo, Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner and Josh Brolin. It is the 22nd movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
