Matt Reeves’ ‘The Batman’ Adds ‘Once Upon A Time In Hollywood’ Cinematographer

Update: Talking to The Hollywood Reporter, Robert Richardson explained he is not attached to Reeves’ The Batman. Prior to Ben Affleck’s departure from both the director’s chair, and the titular role, Richardson was signed on as Director of Photography, however, things changed as Matt Reeves stepped in to take over the project. The veteran cinematographer did express how we would be interested in shooting a Batman of Superman film.

Original: Matt Reeves’ The Batman has found a cinematographer in Robert Richardson. Richardson has worked previously with Quinten Tarintino on numerous projects, including The Hateful Eight, Django Unchained and most recently Once Upon A Time In Hollywood.

Other works of Richardson include The Aviator, Shutter Island, and Platoon. His addition to Reeves’ upcoming DC project is a wonderful sight, as his history shows he is no stranger to wonderful filmmaking.
