Sadly Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D will be ending with Season 7, but it just might go out with a bang. Fans seem to believe that the final season of the show will feature a crossover from another gone-too-soon Marvel television show, Agent Carter.
The rumors began spreading when Melinda May actress Ming-Na Wen posted a photo on her Instagram story. The photo was a close-up shot of bicycles that the stars were given as wrap gifts. One of the nametags on a bike read Enver Gjokaj. Agent Carter fans will recognize that actor as Daniel Souza, Peggy’s boyfriend from the series. This led fans to believe he was reprising his role as Souza in the final season of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
Nothing is set in stone or confirmed yet, but it’s fun to think about. Season 6 of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D did hint at a bit of time travel, so if they’re going to tie it all in, that would be a good place for it.
