Paramount and Skydance’s upcoming sci-fi action film, which had the working title of Ghost Draft, has now officially been titled The Tomorrow War and has a slated release date for December 25, 2020.

Chris McKay, director of 2017’s The Lego Batman Movie, is taking the reigns of the project in the director’s chair. Chris Pratt (Avengers: Endgame) stars as a man drafted to fight in a war in the future where the fate of humanity relies on his ability to confront his past. Yvonne Strahovski (The Predator) plays a woman who meets Pratt’s character in the future, who also has a connection to his past.

Ryan Kiera Armstrong (It: Chapter Two) is speculated to be the daughter of Pratt’s character and J.K. Simmons (Spider-Man: Far From Home) portrays the father of Pratt’s character. Keith Powers (Straight Outta Compton) is attached as the role of a military commander in the film.

A huge cast is attached to the film, including Seychelle Gabriel (The Legend of Korra), Betty Gilpin (Stuber), Edwin Hodge (Bumblebee), Alexis Louder (Black Panther), Jasmine Mathews (Heathers), Mary Lynn Rajskub (Brookyln Nine-Nine), Sam Richardson (Good Boys), Alan Trong (Alita: Battle Angel), Theo Von (Inside Amy Schumer) and lastly newcomer Chibuikem Uche.

The film is currently shooting and is scheduled to wrap on January 16th. The filming locations are reported to be Atlanta, Georgia, Iceland and the Dominican Republic.
