The once stuck in production hell Uncharted movie is scoring it’s Victor Sullivan a.k.a. “Sully” in Mark Wahlberg a.k.a. “Marky Mark”, according to Variety.
If you don’t have any idea of what I’m talking about, Uncharted is based on a popular gaming franchise. It consists in 4 main games: “Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune”, “Uncharted 2: Among Thieves”, “Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception”, and “Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End”.
It follows Nathan Drake, an infamous treasure hunter, or rather a tomb raider (if you know what I mean), as he discovers all kinds of things, but mostly lost cities. Having played all but the last one, I can absolutely recommend this series.
Wahlberg is attached to play Drake’s father figure/mentor/kind of annoying A.I. in the first games. Since this movie is trying to get out of development hell since 2008, having gone through quite a few directors (and even having Marky Mark himself attached to play Drake himself at one point), its encouraging having a star in Tom Holland, a director in Bumblebee‘s own Travis Knight and a possible Sully in Walhberg.
