For Phase 4 of the MCU, it was announced that Loki would have his own show on Disney+, starring of course Tom Hiddleston as the titular character. And among many of Hiddleston’s talents is his spot-on impersonation of famous actor and comedian Owen Wilson which makes the next big casting of the series very interesting as Owen Wilson is joining the series.
Owen Wilson needs little introduction, as he has starred in many Wes Anderson movies such as The Royal Tenenbaums and The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou as well as comedy franchises like Night at the Museum and Zoolander and finally the Pixar franchise Cars. His role is as of now unknown but it will be an important one according to sources.
Loki will be directed by Kate Herron and written by Michael Waldron and will star Tom Hiddleston and Sophia Di Martino. It will premiere on 2021, exclusively on Disney+, the streaming service for all things Disney.
