One of Disney’s blockbuster hits from 2019 seemed for a long time to have been going forward with only a spin-off from the Mouse House. Now, thanks to Variety, fans of Disney’s Aladdin will be able to watch the titular character and his princess Jasmine on the big screen once more in a sequel!
Disney has brought on screenwriters John Gatins and Andrea Berloff to pen the script. The project is reportedly in early development, but are entirely satisfied with the direction of the film. The story is said to be original, not adapting the animated sequel Disney Animation released in 1994, titled Aladdin: The Return of Jafar.
Are you excited to see a whole new world with this untitled Aladdin sequel? Let us know in the comments below! And be sure to follow The Cinema Spot on Twitter (@TheCinemaSpot) and Instagram (@thecinemaspot_) to stay up to date on all the latest Disney news!
