It has been announced that the Disney+ exclusive shows WandaVision and Loki have stopped their respective productions. Like many movies and shows whose productions have been suspended, it has happened due to the increasing spread of the coronavirus. This means that, like The Falcon and the Winter Soldier earlier this week, all Disney+ shows from Marvel that were in production are taking a forced break from said production, in order to avoid the contamination of members of the cast and crew.
WandaVision is directed by Matt Shakman and focuses on Wanda Maximoff and The Vision as a married couple after Vision’s mysterious resurrection. It stars Elizabeth Olsen, Paul Bettany, Kat Dennings, Kathryn Hahn, Randall Park and Teyonah Parris. The show will release this year on Disney+.
Loki is directed by Kate Herron and follows the alternate version of Loki that escaped with the Tesseract, in Avengers: Endgame, as he travels through various historical periods. It stars Tom Hiddleston, Owen Wilson, Sophia Di Martino, Richard E. Grant and Gugu Mbatha-Raw. The show will release next year on Disney+.
