With Season 3 of the DC Universe exclusive show Titans on its way, there were rumors that Barbara Gordon, aka Batgirl aka Oracle and the daughter of Comissioner Gordon, was going to appear in the next season. With the show focusing heavily on Dick Grayson’s departure from the Bat-Family and each of its members reaction to those events, it only made sense that Barbara would make a cameo, after Alfred (voice only) and Bruce Wayne, sense she is a vital part of said family.
Well today it was confirmed by Titans cinematographer Boris Mojsovski, in a Q&A with his colleague Brendan Steacy, that Barbara Gordon would indeed appear in season 3 of Titans, in her Oracle alias. For those not on the know, Barbara took on on this alter-ego after she suffered paralyses from the waist down when Joker shot her throw spine, in the acclaimed graphic novel The Killing Joke, putting an end to her career as Batgirl. As Oracle, she became a proficient hacker and served as tech support for Batman and the Bat-Family as well is the crime-fighting team the Birds of Prey.
Mojsovski also confirmed that Ian Glenn will return as Bruce Wayne and that the initial saction sequence of the first episode will take place in Gotham. The next season is currently being worked on but there’s no release date as of yet, since production has been delayed due to the pandemic.
