Last year (2019) was a huge year for actress and musical artist, Zendaya. On television, she got her huge HBO role as protagonist Rue Bennett in the television series Euphoria, which was met with tremendous praise and an excellent first season finale. And on the big screen, she got a larger role in Spider-Man: Far From Home as character Michelle than she had in its predecessor, subtitled Homecoming.
Earlier today, we got a first look at her in Denis Villeneuve’s upcoming epic science fiction film, Dune.

While a second season for the HBO show was planned to be in the works later this year, it seems highly unlikely. The same goes for production on the third Spider-Man film for the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
Additionally, Collider reported today that Euphoria has added actor Kelvin Harrison Jr. in its second season. The actor has gotten his first role in 2013’s 12 Years a Slave, then went on to perform in hit projects such as The Birth of a Nation, It Comes at Night, and Assassination Nation, the latter of which was written and directed by Euphoria series creator Sam Levinson.
Harrison Jr. had also recently appeared last year the drama films Luce and Waves. The actor will make a great addition to the HBO television program, and if you’ve seen the Julius Onah movie, perhaps we’ll be in for a treat!
What do you think? Have you seen Sam Levinson’s series? If not, do you plan to binge it sometime in the near future? Let us know! For more Euphoria and HBO-related news and reviews follow The Cinema Spot on Twitter (@TheCinemaSpot) and Instagram (@thecinemaspot_).
