Robert Rodriguez is joining Peyton Reed in announcing his directorial involvement with the Disney+ Star Wars series The Mandalorian on May the 4th. The From Dusk Till Dawn director took to Twitter to share a BTS photo with Baby Yoda as he confirmed he sat in the director’s chair.

Aside from From Dusk Till Dawn, Rodriguez is known for the Spy Kids movies and their spinoffs, the Machete movies, as well as the live-action Alita: Battle Angel film.
The Mandalorian hails from ‘Iron Man’s Jon Favreau and ‘The Clone Wars’ Dave Filoni, and follows Pedro Pascal as the notorious bounty hunter known only as The Mandalorian. Season two will bow out exclusively on Disney+ this October.
