During Kessel Run Transmissions’ live stream tonight, hosts Corey Van Dyke and Noah Outlaw dropped new details on a few upcoming Star Wars projects. Potential Spoilers Ahead For The Mandalorian Season 2 and Kenobi

First, the duo revealed that there was advertisement-exclusive footage of Ahsoka Tano.

She is wearing a grey cloak…. Ahsoka will be fighting two bounty hunter assassins.”

The two also state they know the exact location in Star Wars mythos the scene takes place in, but cannot reveal the location. They do, however, tease it.

It’s a very common location in Star Wars… You might go here to get a beverage.”

Most likely, the location is Mos Eisley Cantina on the desert planet Tatooine. The home of both Anakin and Luke Skywalker, Tatooine is the first planet fans are introduced to in Star Wars following the opening scenes of Princess Leia’s Tantive IV escaping an Imperial cruiser. The first season of The Mandalorian also brought audiences back to the planet of pod racing and Tusken Raiders in the episode “The Gunslinger.”

Next, Kessel Run Transmissions revealed some details regarding the Obi Wan Kenobi limited series. With Joby Harold writing the series, Ewan McGregor will return to reprise his role as the Jedi Knight. The new details revealed during tonight’s live stream are confirmations that the series puts a heavy emphasis on flashbacks to the Clone Wars era and that Hayden Christensen will return to the Star Wars universe. It was also reported that Darth Vader will be attempting to track down Obi Wan, his old master and friend, while Commander Cody, the Clone Commander under General Kenobi’s command during the Clone Wars, will appear in the series alongside his unit- the 212th Battalion.

For Commander Cody, it is entirely unknown whether the old Clone Trooper will be appearing in the flashbacks, or if he and his men somehow escaped the decommissioning of the Clones following the end of the Clone Wars. It is more likely than not that Commander Cody & Co. will be appearing in flashbacks to the Clone Wars. In Star Wars history, it is known that following the end of the Clone Wars, the Clone Troopers were quickly “decommissioned,” or executed, after having carried out Order 66, which destroyed the Jedi Order.

What do you think of these new details? Anything of particular interest to you? Let us know in the comments below! And be sure to follow The Cinema Spot on Twitter (@TheCinemaSpot) and Instagram (@thecinemaspot_) to stay up to date on the latest Star Wars news!
