How can you watch Disney+’s live-action Star Wars epic Western The Mandalorian and not love its music? It’s surprising to think otherwise. Just earlier, Ludwig Göransson has won Jon Favreau’s hit series a Creative Arts Emmy Award for “Outstanding Music Composition For A Series (Original Dramatic Score)” for his musical scoring.
Last month, the Swedish composer and record producer was reportedly set to return to the show’s second season, which was later announced to release on October 30th, 2020. (I have cited him way too much in past articles, but for those who do not know, I have been following his work since I first heard musical artist Childish Gambino’s song “Heartbeat” in November 2011. The rest is history.)
What do you think? Have you seen this series? If not, do you plan to binge it sometime in the near future? What is the best musical score on film and/or television? Let us know!
