Twelve shows pick up new seasons on The CW.
The CW has announced that a majority of it’s series will be returning for another season! Included for the Arrowverse shows that are renewed are The Flash for an eighth season, Legends of Tomorrow for a seventh season, and Batwoman for a third season. Other series announced to be renewed include All American, Legacies, Roswell, New Mexico, and Charmed for a fourth season. The series heading onto their third season that have been renewed include Nancy Drew and In The Dark. Finally Riverdale has been renewed for a sixth season, and newcomer Walker has been renewed for a season 2. The latest entry into the Arrowverse, Superman and Lois, has yet to be picked up for a second season, though the network may wish to debut a few episodes before ordering another season.
In addition to these renewals The CW has also announced that Superman and Lois will get an additional two episodes (from 13 to 15) and Walker will be gaining an additional five episodes (from 13 to 18). The only series not announced for new renewals include newcomers Republic of Sarah and Kung Fu, as well as Stargirl which has already been previously rumored to receive a season 3.
These renewals should not come as a shock to anyone as The CW has already lost some of it’s biggest shows with Arrow and Supernatural coming to an end last year. With these renewals the CW also has a ton of new shows in development from Wonder Girl (centered on Yara Flor) to Tom Swift (a Nancy Drew Spinoff) the CW is going nowhere with their programming.
