Production for Marvel’s Black Panther has wrapped! Although they’ve finished it, the visual effects that will bring Wakanda and Black Panther to life still have to be added by Marvel Studios.
(Left to right: Chadwick Boseman with Lupita Nyong’o (who plays Dora Milaje member Nakia), director Ryan Coogler, and Syndelle Noel.)
Starring Chadwick Boseman playing T’challa/Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan, Lupita Nyong’o, Martin Freeman, Angela Bassett, Forest Whitaker, Andy Serkis, Danai Gurira and Daniel Kuluuya.
“After the events of Captain America: Civil War, King T’Challa returns home to the reclusive, technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as his country’s new leader. However, T’Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne from factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with C.I.A. agent Everett K. Ross and members of the Dora Milaje, Wakanadan special forces, to prevent Wakanda from being dragged into a world war.”
It will hit theatres on February 16, 2018. Black Panther is produced by Kevin Feige with Louis D’Esposito, Victoria Alonso, Nate Moore, Jeffrey Chernov and Stan Lee serving as executive producers. The trailer is set to premiere this summer, so be on the watch for any articles on here about it.
