With an incredible cliffhanger in the Season Five finale, Arrow fans are anxious for news related to the upcoming sixth season of the show. As the San Diego Comic Con event nears, it is expected that the Arrow panel will be filled with information and details about what will happen to the Arrow Team, which direction the series is going to take, and who will be the villain this time. With many expectations, it is not strange that fans start coming up with theories that will try and answer these questions, including speculating the arrival of their favorite comic book villains to the show.
Credible TV Line reporter Matt Mitovich has been asked by a fan about the upcoming season, and said, “… I can tease that the next, yet-to-be-cast Big Bad has been on many fan’s wish list.” With this tease, there are speculations that known Rogue ‘Onomatopoeia’ is to be the big villain for Season Six.
Onomatopoeia was created by writer Kevin Smith and artist Phil Hester. He made his debut in Green Arrow #12 of March 2002, but has also made various appearances in Batman comics. Some of his abilities consist of martial art skills, weapon experts, and he carries two semiautomatic handguns, a sniper rifle, and an army knife.
Previously, there were plans to use the character in the early seasons of the show, but the idea was removed. If the rumors are to be true, fans can be excited for this character’s introduction to the Arrowverse.
After a violent shipwreck, billionaire playboy Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) was missing and presumed dead for five years before being discovered alive on a remote island in the North China Sea. He returned home to Star City, bent on righting the wrongs done by his family and fighting injustice. As the Green Arrow, he protects his city with the help of former soldier John Diggle (David Ramsey), computer-science expert Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards), his vigilante-trained sister Thea Queen (Willa Holland), Deputy Mayor Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne), brilliant inventor Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum), and his new recruits, street-savvy Rene Ramirez (Rick Gonzalez) and meta-human Dinah Drake (Juliana Harkavy). Oliver has finally solidified and strengthened his crime-fighting team only to have it threatened when unexpected enemies from his past return to Star City, forcing Oliver to rethink his relationship with each member of his “family.”
Arrow Season Six premieres Thursday, October 12 on The CW.
