The first two Thor movies were seen as “ok” to “very good” by critics and fans. It seems now Marvel wants to make the third movie, Thor: Ragnarok, the best one, and judging by the teaser and all the details released, it indeed looks like the best movie in the series! When talking with the Toronto Sun, Kevin Feige revealed that Ragnarok will conclude Thor’s trilogy. He also stated that the movie will change everything drastically and will directly lead into Avengers: Infinity War.
“I think that we are finding ourselves as we complete Phase 3 and finish this 22-movie narrative that it’s working out that way. We did three Iron Man films, three Captain America films, three Thor films. Things change drastically in Ragnarok and then build directly into Infinity War.”
This isn’t too surprising, considering Feige has been pretty open on how the next Avengers films will really change the MCU, as we now know it. Thor: Ragnarok being the final movie makes perfect sense since Captain America and Iron Man also had a trilogy.
But what’s exciting is this movie will directly lead into Avengers: Infinity War. I think it is pretty much confirmed that the final Infinity Stone that Thanos is looking for will be revealed in the film. This is a great reason to be excited for the movie considering the other two MCU movies released this year, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and Spider-Man: Homecoming, had very less connections with Infinity War.
Imprisoned on the other side of the universe, the mighty Thor finds himself in a deadly gladiatorial contest that pits him against the Hulk, his former ally and fellow Avenger. Thor’s quest for survival leads him in a race against time to prevent the all-powerful Hela from destroying his home world and the Asgardian civilization.
