Opening to praise as the DCEU’s first “successful” franchise film, Wonder Woman is already looking towards its sequel. Now, courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter’s Pamela McClintock, there may be a date to match with this mysterious sequel.
Less than a week after I wrote this story, an untitled WB/DC pic is dated for 6/5/20. Look for #ComicCon reveal that it's #WonderWoman 2! https://t.co/YvAKB4b2LO

June 5, 2020 seems to be the date of the next installment of the Amazonian hero’s franchise. As of right now, this release date has no official connection to Wonder Woman 2, however, production plans may line up perfectly for DC and Warner Brothers to target this specific date. The plot of the next movie is still unknown officially, but rumors have been making their way around the internet. A Cold War-era film may return Steve Trevor, the breakout character of the first installment. As said before, these are mere rumors, so don’t be dead-set on the setting and return of Chris Pine.
Grossing $380 million in the U.S. alone, Wonder Woman holds a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, and is still playing in a theater near you! More details on the sequel are expected to come in the next few days as San Diego Comic-Con rolls into town tonight.
