It was recently announced that Patty Jenkins would be directing the Wonder Woman sequel after the critical and financial success of the first one, also spearheaded by her. Warner Bros. worked out her payment to between $7 and $9 million, the most for a female director ever.
Previously, Nancy Meyers held the record at around $5 million, but Jenkins’ new deal blows that previous record out of the water. Jenkins had been paid $1 million for the first Wonder Woman movie. Her pay is likely to be on par with Zack Snyder’s pay for Man of Steel as well.
Wonder Woman 2 is set to release on December 13, 2019.
