Be prepared to sit down just a little longer, because Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 will contain five mid-credits scenes.
The news was confirmed via Twitter after an early press-screening which took place Monday night. With an overwhelmingly positive reception, the new Guardians movie seems to exceed expectations and recapture the magic that was created by the success of the first installment of the franchise. However, this was coupled with unexpected news.
Since Iron Man, fans have been treated to mid-credits and post-credits scenes after each movie in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, the most one movie has contained is two. Originally, it was tweeted that the film would have four mid-credits scenes, until James Gunn replied to Screen Rant’s tweet.
Here are the tweets to confirm the news:
Also: Come for the movie, stay for the not one, not two, not three, but *four* post credit scenes.

Well, five, actually. 😊

Although there have been no details as to what the scenes will portray, the movie has received an immaculate reception, and the positive reactions surrounding the film are bound to bring movie-goers to theaters.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel, will showcase the Guardians’ adventure as they travel through space, keep their newfound family close, and uncover the mystery surrounding Peter Quill’s parentage. The movie premieres on May 5th.
