Just a normal neanderthal looking forward to giving his not-at-all-informed opinion.
Good day, my friends. I hope you’re ready to get excited.
In Fox’s panel at Comic-Con 2017, it was announced that Noah Hawley would develop a Doctor Doom solo film.
If you don’t know why this is pure happiness, I recommend you go watch Legion and Fargo. Both of these genius shows have Hawley as a showrunner and sometimes writer. This man can pull off a narrative based on magical realism like a boss.
Forward time to last year, when it was announced that the Fox and Disney deal was inevitable and that all of the projects being developed by Fox were canceled. This included a Kitty Pryde solo film, a Multiple Man film lead by James Franco and the aforementioned Doctor Doom film.
But THR had a chat with Hawley at SXSW this week and it seems the film’s not yet dead.
Apparently Hawley met with Marvel’s head honcho Kevin Feige, with the latter one asking if Hawley was still working on the project, showing some interest.
This surely doesn’t mean that a film is being greenlit, but gives us some hope on the future of this incredible villain.
What do you thing? Are you excited about this glimmer of hope? Please share with us your thoughts.
