Actor Jamie Bell (Jumper) is in talks to join the cast of Without Remorse, the movie adaptation for the Tom Clancy novel produced by Paramount and starring Michael B. Jordan (Creed).
According to Variety, the Rocketman actor will play Robbert Ritter, “the deputy director of operations at the CIA who was a major character in the Clancy universe and helped recruit [John Clark] Kelly into the CIA”. The character has already been interpreted by actor Henry Czerny in the 1994 movie adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Clear and Present Danger.
Michael B. Jordan leads the film as John Clark, “a former Navy SEAL who goes to work for the CIA.” The magazine also confirms that Paramount is currently planning to create a “Tom Clancy Cinematic Universe”-style franchise that will revolved around Jordan’s character. He’ll also be starring in another novel-to-live-action adaptation of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six.
Without Remorse has Stefano Sollima (Sicario: Day of the Soldado) on the director’s seat, with a script written by Taylor Sheridan (Sicario). Production of the film has been scheduled for the rest of 2019.
