Hafa Adai! My name is Lauren G and I'm the girl of your dreams. I watch way too many horror films and I'm obsessed with old black and white movies. You can find me at your local movie theater!

The highly anticipated Marvel film, Black Widow, will hit UK theaters one week earlier than the U.S!

Digital Spy reports that UK fans can flock to theaters on October 28 (which was confirmed by Disney earlier). Due to the coronavirus pandemic, all upcoming Marvel films will be pushed back especially since Black Widow was supposed to be in theaters since last month. Fans in America will have to wait until November 6 to catch Scarlett Johansson in action and Marvel newcomer Florence Pugh.

Another actress fans are keenly awaiting is none other than Rachel Weiss. Pugh and Weiss have expressed in separate interviews some of their fears and challenges during filming.

For the June issue of Elle UK, Pugh revealed, “I was scared because my Russian accent was going to be out there and I didn’t know what it sounded like,” she continued, “I’m also playing a character who no-one’s seen before but they’ve read about her. I didn’t know whether people were going to hate me!”

For Weiss, she spoke to Harper’s Bazaar stating “I was really weak and quite flabby. It was a good incentive to do some Pilates and dance cardio.” She went on to say that being on set was “physical and quite exhilarating” and that she “had to do some complicated things, like beating up a lot of people, and throwing them across the room, and jumping on their shoulders.” These lovely ladies shouldn’t have anything to worry about (including main star Johansson). Marvel Studios chose them for a reason!

Don’t believe me? Keep reading to discover some of my favorite movies from these all-star actresses. It’ll definitely keep us all busy as we continue to wait for Natasha Romanoff’s long-overdue story.

Florence Pugh

Midsommar (2019)

I haven’t really heard anything about Florence until I watched one of the most iconic films of the decade, Midsommar. And I’m so grateful I discovered her because she is literally my new favorite actress! After that, I began to watch as much of her work as I could. As mentioned earlier Midsommar is my favorite of hers but I also enjoyed Malevolent and Fighting with my Family. She has unquestionably proved her mind-blowing acting skills and it only goes up from here.

Rachel Weiss

The Mummy Returns (2001)

Ms. Weiss is no stranger to the cinema world with a career spanning almost 30 years. I’m pretty sure we all recognized her as the insanely beautiful librarian in The Mummy (and then went on to become the hot mama in the sequel!) Her elegance and demeanor on-screen is eerily similar to that of the ladies from the Golden Age. Besides The Mummy, you can witness more of her magic in The Lobster and Disobedience. Forever grateful this amazing lady’s acting career only gets better and better.

Scarlett Johannson

Home Alone 3 (1997)

I first saw Scarlett in Home Alone 3 when I was a little kid and have been in love since! My top three movies of her’s would have to be Eight Legged Freaks, Lost in Translation, and The Spirit. These movies are all entirely different genres and you can witness how truly versatile she is as an actress. Her talent continues to radiate as the years pass. She has tremendously earned the title of being one of the best actresses of our generation!
