20th Century Fox has officially announced the release dates of their upcoming X-Men movies in 2018.
First, New Mutants will open next year during this month, April 13. It will follow recent Xavier School graduates Magik, Wolfsbane, Mirage, Cannonball, Sunspot, and Warlock as they learn to control their powers and of course, fight bad guys like Demon Bear. It will be directed by Josh Boone and the movie is intended to be X-Men movies franchise’s entry into the young adult film genre.
Next off, Deadpool will return with a fellow mutant who can time travel on June 1. Ryan Reynolds will reprise his role as Deadpool, Josh Brolin will play Cable and Zazie Beats will play Domino, the love interest of Cable.
Lastly, The X-Men team returns with Sophie Turner reprising her role as Jean Gray in X-Men: Dark Phoenix on November 2, 2018. Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp are expected to return as Cyclops and Storm respectively. James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender and Jennifer Lawrence had their contracts expire after X-Men: Apocalypse, so their involvement remains up in the air.
