Nearly two months have passed since details on the DC Extended Universe’s Black Adam was announced at DC FanDome Day 1. Not too long ago, however, new information has been revealed.

In an exclusive report by The Illuminerdi, Warner Brothers is reportedly looking to cast either Peruvian actress Isabela Moner (Sicario: Day of the Soldado, Dora and the Lost City of Gold) or Dominican singer-songwriter Leslie Grace in the role of Cyclone, a character previously reported to be an “Alexandra Shipp type” in the film. In the comics, Cyclone (Maxine Hunkel) is the granddaughter of the first Red Tornado and is also a member of the Justice Society of America. She possesses the ability to control soundwaves and wind.

During the DC FanDome event, Black Adam cast Noah Centineo as Atom Smasher and Aldis Hodge as Hawkman, with characters Doctor Fate and Cyclone to also appear, all of whom are alongside Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the title character antihero himself.

With the COVID-19 pandemic still going on, the progress on the principal photography for this film and many others is a slow one. For now, the much-loved comic book franchise had also announced details for an untitled Green Lantern series on HBO Max earlier this month, which you can read here.
