Shadowhunters star Jon Cor has joined season 7 of The Flash on The CW. TVLine revealed that Cor has been cast as Chillblaine and is set to be the season’s villain. His role is that of a recurring guest star role throughout the season.

The official character description of Chillblaine, a.k.a. Mark Stevens, can be found below:

“Mark Stevens is a charismatic bad boy obsessed with cryogenic technology. But when he’s not breaking into corporate safes, he’s busy breaking hearts with his irresistible charm and roguish style. Armed with his own cold weapons, he’ll become a new thorn in the side of Team Flash as the DC Comics villain Chillblaine.”

A short while ago, Eric Wallace, the showrunner of The Flash, revealed that Godspeed will be returning and act as one of the show’s main villains this season. According to Wallace, the show wants to make sure that people reading current “The Flash” comics from DC Comics feel welcome even if they haven’t read the hero’s Silver and Bronze Age comic books.

Jon Cor has credits in projects such as Saw: Final ChapterLost in Space, and the long-running CW series Supernatural. His most recognizable role, however, comes from Freeform’s adaptation Shadowhunters.

The seventh season of The Flash returns to the Arrowverse on February 23. Starring Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, and Daniel Panabaker, The Flash follows crime scene investigator Barry Allen as he balances life as the scarlet speedster and hero of Central City. As the second hero in the Arrowverse to receive his own spinoff series, The Flash is the longest current-running The CW DC property. Supergirl has entered into its sixth and final season, as new Wonder Girl series ramps up for production, focused on the newest Wonder Girl from DC’s current “Future State” line Yara-Flor. A Superman and Lois series is also entering into production for its first season, a spinoff of Supergirl starring Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch as they reprise their titular roles.
