Hi! I'm Zach, the Editor-in-Chief here at The Cinema Spot. The TCS team and I are always hard at work to put out the best content we can, and we're even developing a few new features! Be sure to keep an eye out for the latest contests, daily news articles, comprehensive reviews, and more!

Earlier today, the official DC Titans Twitter account announced Mad Men  alum Vincent Kartheiser has joined Titans season 3 as Scarecrow, a.k.a. Jonathon Crane. Crane is most notably attached to Gotham City, and in turn, Batman. He’s a psychologist with a specialization in fear, and ultimately turned criminal.

Kartheiser, known for his role of Pete Campbell in the AMC drama Mad Men, has also starred in In Time (2011), The Social Dilema (2020), and My Friend Dahmer (2017).

The third season of the original series Titans has been in production in Toronto, Canada since October of last year, and will wrap in June. The ongoing COVID-19 pandemic has slowed production on many shows and films, and the solo-venturing sidekicks of the DC Universe are no exception. The series stars Ryan Potter as Gar/Beast Boy, Brendon Thwaites as Dick Grayson/Nightwing, Anna Diop as Starfire, Curran Walters as Jason Todd (who will take on the Red Hood persona this season), and has added Jay Lycurgo as Tim Drake/Robin for season 3. Teagan Croft portrays the magical Raven, while Game of Thrones star Iain Glen has brought the billionaire Bruce Wayne to life in the series.

Scarecrow first appeared in “World’s Finest Comic” #3 in 1941, and was created by Bill Finger and Bob Kane. His history is nearly as long as Batman’s as both were introduced in the same year. Along with his connection to Batman and the Batfamily, Scarecrow has also been a member of the Injustice League as well as the SInestro Corps. The character has also appeared in a myriad of mediums, including the Fox series Gotham and Rocksteady’s Arkham Knight game, the fourth installment of the Batman: Arkham series.

DC’s Titans has received an early renewal for a fourth season at HBO Max

Let us know your thoughts on the casting! And keep an eye out for more Titans castings in the coming weeks. Be sure to follow The Cinema Spot on Twitter (@TheCinemaSpot) and Instagram (@thecinemaspot_) for all the latest DC and HBO Max news!
