The Walt Disney Company and Lucasfilms announced four major upcoming release dates today!
Star Wars: Episode IX is now set for release on May 24, 2019. Directed by Colin Trevorrow, the film will close out the third Star Wars trilogy.
The fifth chapter of the Indiana Jones series is now confirmed for a July 10, 2020 release. Both Steven Spielberg, director of every Indiana Jones film and star Harrison Ford will return.
Disney’s Live Action The Lion King remake by Jon Favreau will roar in the theaters on July 19, 2019. The film will star James Earl Jones reprising the role of Musafa and Donald Glover as Simba. Production for the film is set to begin in May, this year.
Lastly, Disney’s sequel to the critically acclaimed Frozen will hit the theaters on November 11, 2019.
