Moon Knight episode 6 finally arrived. On Wednesday, all of us sat down to see the final chapter of Marc Spector and Steven Grant’s journey. There were a lot of emotions involved, and it’s pretty safe to say that the season finale delivered. Moon Knight episode 6, “Gods and Monster” stars Oscar Isaac, May Calamawy, Ethan Hawke, Antonia Salib, Sofia Danu, Saba Mubarak, Karim El Hakim and F. Murray Abraham. It is directed by Mohamed Diab and is written by Jeremy Slater, Peter Cameron and Samir Pirzada.

Throughout Moon Knight, one of the things that has been most impressive has been the acting. In Particular, Oscar Isaac as Marc Spector and Steven Grant has been a shining star that has been able to show his range and ability. This episode has been no exception, and everyone in this episode is fantastic.
Ethan Hawke as the fearsome Arthur Harrow is particularly frightening in this episode. When he reaches his full ability, his power is truly terrifying. As the blind disciple of Ammit, his dedication to destruction is harrowing, and he’s frighteningly real and recognisable.
We must mention the voice and motion capture actors in the show because they all do a fantastic job. Antonia Salib as Taweret is a fun and loving ray of hope in a time when all seems lost. F. Murray Abraham as Khonshu is powerful and commanding. Saba Mubarak as Ammit is chilling and daunting; all fantastic performances.
But they are nothing without their motion capture counterparts. Karim El Hakim as Khonshu, Antonia Salib as Taweret, and Sofia Danu as Ammit all give amazing performances as the three Gods. The visual effects are stunning, but without the actors there to create the movements and capture the essence of the characters, this would not have worked as well as it did
While the whole cast brings their best to this episode, it’s Oscar Isaac and May Calamawy that bring it all together. Their performances are real and intense, and they make the characters so believable. They bring heart to the show, and with every scene they’re in, they draw us in more.
You Are Free Now
The brilliant performances work so well not just because of how talented the actors are, but also because they have a great story to work with. Throughout the series, the show has been praised for many different aspects, and episode 6 has tied up the series nicely. While it is over, there is still a lot of potential for the future.
This story has been important for so many reasons. The representation that was present in the series has marked a shift in Marvel projects. It showed us what is possible, how to really represent people, and what can be achieved if you hire a diverse cast and crew to make a project. The diverse cast and crew further proves that allowing diverse creators to work with freedom creates beautiful art. Mohamed Diab has brought together a team that has created something truly special and amazing.
Even if there are some changes to the comics, all of these parts fit together and work well for the world that has been created in this series. The changes made only serve to add another brilliant version of ’Moon Knight’ for fans to love. They have kept the essence of the character and only added more to love.
Episode 6 was a great ending to the show. While we are always a little concerned with how Marvel projects will end, there was no issue here. All of the storylines were complete, and all of the characters felt like they got the ending they deserved. And with the post-credit scene hinting at something more in the future, it’s only good news for those of us who have fallen in love with this beautiful world.
Laters Gators
When Moon Knight was announced, it may have seemed like a peculiar choice. This was a little known character who, although he had a loyal and wide fan base, wasn’t particularly well known. A character that brought with him his own challenges. But he is a character who we have quickly fallen in love with, and one that we want to see more of in the future.
Marc Spector and Steven Grant (Oscar Isaac) stole our hearts entirely, and to see how they progressed throughout the show – individually and together- has cemented them firmly as some our favourites. Layla El-Faouly (May Calamawy) shares that title, and it’s pretty safe to say that everyone fell in love with her as soon as we saw her on-screen. We will forever love them, and we hope this isn’t the last we see of them.
