Arrow Season 5 Sizzle Reel Footage!

Warning Spoilers for Arrow Season 5. Arrow just released a Sizzle Reel for the end of Season 5. After a rocky season 4, Arrow rebounded and is having a very strong season 5. This trailer will excite, but worry some fans. You can watch the trailer below:

The Sizzle Reel opens up with some old footage, but very little. We then hear that Chase has been in the wind for a week and is picking off Team Arrow one by one. Then we see shots of the members of Team Arrow with Yao-Fei’s voice over about how those closest to Oliver will pay for his sins. Then we see Yao-Fei with Oliver when he had long hair. We then see Oliver and Felicity very close when Oliver says that he put the hood on based on a lie. We then see Quentin Lance point a gun at someone who turns out to be Laurel from Earth 2. We see flashback-Oliver about to get tortured by Kovar. After a bunch of action shots, we see WWE star Cody Rhodes return as Derek Sampson. He previously appeared in episode 5×03, and ended up getting super strength and the inability to feel pain. He is fighting Wild Dog. In another flashback on Lian Yu, Oliver fights off some people. We see Oliver and Felicity stuck in the bunker while Renee and Curtis try to break them out with an explosion. Then Oliver flips an arrow at Merlyn who catches it. Black Siren has Quentin chained in a truck, as Oliver talks about him doing whatever it takes to save the city ended up creating Prometheus. Prometheus and Green Arrow are in a dimly lit room as Prometheus asks Oliver how he is going to beat him. Then we see Nyssa talking to Talia as she says “We have unfinished business, sister.” Dig asks Felicity what side she is on and she says she’s on the side that puts Chase in prison. We then see Oliver and Felicity separated by lasers as she says sorry. Black Siren mocks Dinah Drake, the new Black Canary, then we see Flashback-Oliver and Anatoly hug. We see shots of someone running on Lian Yu, and then Chase and Oliver stare each other down in the rain as Chase brags about how everyone Oliver loves suffers. We see quick shots of each character, some on Lian Yu, including Oliver and Felicity about to kiss. In the snippets we also see Renee hug someone who looks like Evelyn and Oliver vs Kovar on the island. Felicity then points a gun and yells, “Freeze, jerkwad,” at Oliver, unknowing that it is him. The trailer ends with Oliver taking Deathstroke’s mask into the prison at Lian Yu. Slade says, “Hey kid, i’m glad you came back.”

One of the things that may worry some fans is how cozy Oliver and Felicity get in the trailer. In episode 5×20, Underneath, we will have Oliver and Felicity trapped in the bunker and find out the status of their relationship. For some fans they are hoping the kiss scenes are just flashbacks and not present day. Merlyn is back after his run on Legends of Tomorrow. Black Siren is set to return for the last few episodes, no doubt set free by Prometheus to distract Quentin and Oliver. Nyssa vs Talia will be an interesting fight. Black Siren meets the new Black Canary, and we’ll have a Canary cry-off. In the finale, 5×23, Lian Yu, we are to see Oliver team up with people to defeat Prometheus. Slade, Captain Boomerang, Merlyn, Nyssa, Evelyn, Black Siren and the rest of Team Arrow will probably be there when the battle occurs. Evelyn may come back to Team Arrow, or she may just try to deceive them. No matter what, I am extremely excited for this season’s last few episodes and think everyone should be too.
