John Cena Nabs Lead Role In Bumblebee Movie

With the announcement of the upcoming spinoff film from the Transformers franchise, there have been multiple developments in production which provide insight of what the film has to offer. A notable development in the film, is the announcement of its cast which features John Cena in a lead role. With Cena in a lead role, he has also expressed his excitement to be featured in the film with his announcement on twitter.

John Cena appears to be making progress in his film career, with appearances in multiple films, which has been moving him from WWE wrestler to Hollywood star. Cena has proven that he can hold it down as a comedic role in films such as Trainwreck, Daddy’s Home, Sisters, and HBO’s upcoming film Tour de Pharmacy. However, he has also shown he can handle more dramatic roles in the film, The Wall, with actor Aaron Taylor Johnson as his co-star. As John Cena obtains more roles through his career, he may even work his way to stardom much like Dwayne Johnson worked his way to the big screen.

However the Bumblebee film turns out, this is an important step in John Cena’s career in film. Cena will hopefully show that he has grown to be a star and not necessarily only a WWE wrestler. The Transformers Franchise continues to grow in scale and does not show any signs of slowing down despite the underwhelming performances of the films. It is possible with the inclusion of John Cena in the cast, it may draw more attention to the film, despite the fact that nobody can see him in the first place. The Bumblebee spinoff film is set to be released Dec. 21, 2018.
